Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary on Harmby Road in Leyburn.

The incident occurred sometime between October 9 and 17, and officers are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious during that period — or who has CCTV footage from the area — is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 12250197092.

  • Keep driveways and entrances well-lit with motion-activated lights.

  • Trim hedges and trees near doors and windows to remove hiding places.

  • Avoid posting on social media when you are away from home, and ask a trusted neighbour to keep an eye on your property.

  • Don’t leave valuables visible inside your car, and always park in well-lit areas.
