Police appeal after collision on A66

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses following a minor collision that occurred on the A66.

The incident happened at around 7.30am on Friday 21 July.

The collision involved a Volvo car transporter, that was heading towards Scotch Corner Services, and a white Volkswagen Crafter that was travelling on the wrong side of the road.

The Volkswagen Crafter initially stopped at scene but then drove off in the direction of Cumbria on the A66. The driver of this vehicle has failed to report the collision and has not provided any details.

Officers are appealing for anyone who either witnessed the collision or has any information about the Volkswagen Crafter, particularly its registration number, to get in touch as soon as possible.
