Police have appealed for information after a number of items were stolen from a scrapyard near Leyburn.
The theft occurred at a business in Harmby in the early hours of Tuesday, August 11.
North Yorkshire Police said the incident took place between about 4am and 5am.
Items stolen included starter motors, alternators, brass and copper.
Officers are asking people living in the area whether they saw or heard anything suspicious around the time of the theft.
They are also keen to hear from anyone with CCTV or other footage which may have captured suspicious activity before, during or after the incident.
