Police are appealing for information after a quad bike was stolen in the Hawes area.
The theft happened in the Gayle area at about 3am on Wednesday, August 19.
North Yorkshire Police said the quad was subsequently recovered nearby shortly after it was stolen.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious around the time of the theft to come forward.
Police would also like to hear from residents or businesses with CCTV footage which may have captured the incident or suspicious activity in the area before or after the theft.
