Police are appealing for information after a collection of tools was stolen during a burglary at a rural property near Barton.
The burglary happened overnight between Monday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 25.
North Yorkshire Police said the offenders targeted a shed at the property and stole a number of power tools and other equipment.
The stolen items included a vintage Stihl chainsaw, a Stihl backpack leaf blower, a Husqvarna 120 chainsaw and a larger Stihl chainsaw with an 18-inch bar.
Also taken were a Von Haus extendable hedge trimmer, a grey Switzer compactor plate, a smaller Stihl strimmer and a Dolmar brush cutter.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed suspicious behaviour or vehicles in the Barton area during the night to come forward.
Police would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered any of the stolen equipment or has seen the items advertised for sale in recent days.
