Police appeal after trailer theft in Askrigg

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information after the theft of a trailer from Askrigg.

A two-wheel IFor Williams small plant trailer, fitted with a ramped tailgate, was stolen from a car park near Temperance Hall, sometime between 5pm on Thursday, September 19 and 10.30am on Friday, September 20.

Officers are asking anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area at the time, or who may have CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage that could help the investigation, to come forward.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “As always, we advise vehicle and trailer owners to keep them in a secure place, locked and alarmed where possible, and consider fitting an approved immobiliser or tracker device to deter thieves.”

Anyone with information is asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting reference number 12250178185.
