Police appeal after windows smashed

Police have issued an appeal for information after windows were smashed in Colburn.

The incident happened at around 5am on Friday when two windows were smashed at addresses in Chesnut Walk and Watermint Way.

Two people were seen to run from the scene.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “Do you have any CCTV that may have captured the incident?

“Do you have a vehicle parked up with dashcam that might have caught something?

“Were you out and about early and witnessed the incident?

“If so, please contact us on 101 and quote crime reference number 12240006710.

Police say this is the third time windows have been smashed in the space of a few days.

The spokesperson added: “I would ask you to be vigilant and if you do see anything or anyone suspicious please contact us immediately.”
