Police appeal after assault in Richmond

Police are appealing for witnesses and information about an assault that occurred in Richmond.

It happened outside the Talbot Hotel in Richmond between 12.30am and 12.40am on Saturday and involved two men.

The victim, a local man aged 25, received head injuries and was taken by ambulance to Darlington Memorial hospital for treatment before being discharged.

A police spokesperson said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
