Police appeal after biker injured near Hawes

Mossy Lane, near Hawes.

Police are appealing for information after a motorbike rider was injured when he came off his bike near Hawes.

Officers were called to Mossy Lane at around 4.05pm on Sunday.

The rider, a man from the Windermere area, was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The road was closed temporarily to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.

Officers are keen to speak to the occupants on a VW-style camper van and a Land Rover Range Rover which stopped initially at the scene.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to call 101, select option 2 and ask for Graham Waller.
