Police appeal for witnesses after collision on A684

Police are appealing for witnesses after reports of two cars being driven recklessly before a collision on the A684 near Harmby.

The incident happened at about 1.15pm on Saturday.

A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses and information about a damage-only road traffic collision and a manner of driving concern that occurred in this area between Leyburn and Bedale.

“The collision involved a black Land Rover Discovery and a light blue Seat Leon.

“Reports have suggested the Leon and a black VW Golf were being driven recklessly immediately prior to the collision.

“We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
