Police appeal over damage to Little White Bus

The group already runs the Little White Bus service.

Police have issued an appeal after repeated damage caused to the Little White Bus.

The bus has been repeatedly targeted in recent weeks while being parked up in Gayle, near Hawes.

A spokesperson for Richmondshire neighbourhood policing team said: “We’re appealing for information after a number of incidents in which this community bus service has been damaged by having nails and screws pushed into its tyres.

“The Little White Bus is a much-needed service for residents and visitors to Upper Wensleydale and Swaledale.

“The incidents are believed to have occurred on Gayle Lane in Gayle when the bus is parked and have happened throughout May and June 2021.”
