Police appeal after theft of old Parcel Force van

Police are appealing for witnesses and information about the theft of a van from Brompton-on-Swale.

A red Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van was stolen from a premises on Gatherley Road on Saturday morning.

The vehicle has registration number of NA59 PXJ and is distinctive due to having some old Parcel Force signage displayed above the driver cab.

It is believed that the van was stolen at around 10am and was then driven down Gatherley Road before turning left at the crossroads in the direction of Scorton.

A police spokesperson said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

“In particular, we are appealing for information about any sightings of the van around the local area, as well as any sightings of anyone acting suspiciously.”
