Police are asking for the help of local residents to find a dog that ran off following a road traffic collision on Longwood Bank, between Richmond and Catterick Garrison, this morning.
The dog was last seen running in the direction of Richmond Station.
It is the brown dog shown in the photograph.
Anyone who has seen the dog, or has information that may help locate it, is asked to contact police as soon as possible.
Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle collision at about 8.50am on Monday,
One male driver out of the vehicle on the arrival of Richmond firefighters.
The motorist was treated on scene with general first aid by the fire and rescue crew until the arrival of paramedics.
The incident was then left with the police.
