Police arrest two men for alleged drug dealing

Police have arrested two men on suspicion of supplying class B drugs in Colburn.

On Wednesday evening, officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a property in the Woodside Chase area.

Two men aged 27 and 33 were arrested at the property on suspicion of possessing class B drugs with intent to supply.

Offices also seized a significant quantity of suspected illegal drugs along with items believed to be used in their supply

The two men remain in police custody at this time.

Police have urgeed anyone who suspects drug dealing is happening in their area to report it.

A police spokesperson said: “Every piece of information, no matter how small, could help us piece together a bigger picture and help to shape our police activity.”

Police say residents should look out for the following signs:

  • Increased callers at a property
  • Increase in cars pulling up for short periods of time
  • Different accents at a property
  • Increased antisocial behaviour at a property
  • Not seeing the resident for long periods of time
  • Unfamiliar vehicles at the property
  • Windows covered or curtains closed for long periods
