Police are investigating a burglary in Scorton today.
At some point between 9am and 5pm a house was broken into on Station Road in the village.
Entry was gained by smashing a rear patio door.
Anyone in the area that heard what is likely to have been a loud bang or saw any suspicious activity in the area should call North Yorkshire Police and quote incident 12170117036.
