Police make arrests after spate of farm burglaries

Police have made three arrests following a spate of farm burglaries in the area.

North Yorkshire Police say officers travelled outside the county to make the arrests for burglary and going equipped.

It is not yet known where the arrests were made.

Two houses were also searched and a vehicle was seized.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “A dedicated group of officers from our rural taskforce have been outside the North Yorkshire Police force area this morning conducting extensive enquiries and arrest attempts in relation to recent farm burglaries within the Richmondshire area.”

Police say those arrested have been interviewed and the investigation continues.
