A Richmond and Catterick police officer is looking for sponsorship as she prepares to run the York 10k for charity.

Call4Backup is a service set up by police officers as a peer network to provide support to all employees of the police services in the UK.

This story continues after the adverts:

Nadine said: “I have worked for North Yorkshire Police since 2009 where I have served as a force control room dispatcher/comms officer and a special constable in Richmond and Catterick.

“I have seen and heard first hand the harrowing and horrific things that Police Officers have to deal with on a daily basis.

“All police officers take the images and feelings of their shift home with them.”

She said it was important that the services Call4Backup continued to be available to police personnel.

“Please donate and show your support to police officers and staff across the country,” she added.
