The police are concerned for the welfare of a man thought to be in Richmondshire.
The man is driving EJ57 UKT a Blue Skoda Octavia estate car.
The vehicle was last seen near to Haig Road, Catterick Garrison, travelling towards Richmond on Tuesday this week at 9.10pm.
The male is known to spend time in the Yorkshire Dales and specifically he has visited the Redmire and Castle Bolton area.
The male is described as a white male, 48 years old, medium to large build.
He was last seen wearing a navy blue hoody top and navy tracksuit bottoms and brown walking shoes.
It is understood the man is from the Pontefract area of West Yorkshire.
A search took place in the early hours of Monday using police helicopters
