A missing person was found after a large search by police last night.
The police helicopter from Newcastle and a search dog team were used in the search in the Bedale area.
A search of gardens also took place.
Residents reported the helicopter hovering over homes in the Bedale and Aiskew at around midnight.
Police confirmed at about 5am that the person had been found.
It is understood the person reported missing was a local man who was found safe and well.
