Police are appealing to trace the owner of a designer handbag found in Richmond.
A black Chanel shoulder bag has been handed in at Richmond Police Station after being discovered placed on a wall outside. Officers say there was no identification inside the bag.
North Yorkshire Police are asking anyone who believes the handbag belongs to them to attend Richmond Police Station with proof of purchase so it can be returned to its rightful owner.
While police cannot confirm whether the bag was stolen, officers have highlighted a recent rise in thefts from motor vehicles over the Christmas period and are reminding residents to keep valuables locked away and out of sight.
The handbag is currently safe and secure at Richmond Police Station.
