Police used a helicopter in a bid to track down thieves trying to break into sheds last night.
Reports were made of break-ins to sheds and a caravan in Brompton-on-Swale.
Police activity was also reported in Colburn in the early hours of this morning.
Residents said they saw two people being arrested in the town, although this is yet to be confirmed.
