Police warning about anti-social behaviour in Brompton-on- Swale

Police have urged residents of Brompton-on-Swale to report incidents of anti-social behaviour.

The plea comes after a spate of incidents in the village.

A spokesperson for Richmondshire police said: “It has been brought to our attention that residents and local businesses in Brompton-on-Swale are victims of anti-social-behaviour.”

Police have urged anyone who sees young people on push bikes behaving in an anti-social manner to report is as soon as possible.

The spokesperson added: “If you know your children are riding their bikes in Brompton-On-Swale could you please remind them not to ride there bikes on private land and to socialise in a way that doesn’t cause any distress, alarm or harassment to any of the residents or businesses.”

The force said the community needed to work together to stop the problem now before it escalated and a serious crime was committed or someone was hurt.
