A popular annual Christmas concert in the Dales is going online this year.
A Magical Christmas Concert will feature the Colin Bailey Band with special guests Elizabeth Carter, Amy Fudali, Sue Parks and young musicians from the Play>Record>Perform project
They will present a selection of festive favourites such as Winter Wonderland, Let It Snow and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas in a concert recorded at Leyburn Arts and Community Centre.
“Our annual Christmas concert is a true celebration of what our young musicians in the area have achieved during the year,” said Colin.
“We haven’t been able to meet in person or perform live this year so we decided to safely record a virtual performance instead.
“The show is full of fun and festive sparkle and we’re hoping people will download and enjoy it.”
There will be two Covid-safe screenings at Leyburn Arts Centre on Saturday, December 19 at 7pm and Tuesday, December 22 at 2pm.

Proceeds from the show will help fund Blueboxt performing arts activities, including the Play>Record>Perform online workshops that started earlier this month.
Play>Record>Perform is part of the NYMAZ Play it Loud programme funded by Youth Music enabling participants aged 11-19 to take part in online study sessions, discussion groups, collaborative recordings and virtual performances.
