A number of popular Richmondshire pubs have been placed on the market.
The Farmers Arms in Muker, which is owned by former professional rugby league player Andy Gascoigne, is one of several country pubs to have gone up for sale recently.
The owners are looking for offers in the region of £575,000 for the pub, which has a separate barn for self-catering accommodation.
Andy, who played for clubs including Leeds, Doncaster and Hull throughout the 80s and 90s, paid the same price for the pub last year, according to sale details released at the time.
The businessman has struggled to recruit staff during the pandemic and has admitted on social media the pub has relied on volunteers to keep it open at times.
Elsewhere in the district, the Bolton Arms in Redmire has recently gone on the market with a guide price of £725,000.
The pub has five en-suite letting bedrooms, as well as a large dining room and beer garden.
The pub is being marketed by Everard Cole Ltd, who say it has been recently refurbished to a high standard.
The pub is being marketed by Leeds-based Christie and Co.
They said: “The Bolton Arms presents an ideal opportunity for an owner-operator to take on an incredibly well established and consistently profitable going concern.
“The picturesque, national park location means there is an idyllic lifestyle opportunity, as well as a chance to build on and improve current trade.”
The sale details say the current owners have invested heavily in the premises over the past three years, having refurbished the bar and restaurant and spent a significant amount of money on the infrastructure.
