Preparations underway for the 103rd Scott Trial

An event billed as ‘the toughest one day motorcycle trial in the world’ will take place in the Yorkshire Dales next month.

For over fifty of its years, the Scott Trial has now made its home in Swaledale and Arkengarthdale.

This, the 103rd year, of this Yorkshire classic trial on Saturday, October 21, will host past and present, World, European and British champions all competing for the famous Alfred A Scott Memorial Trophy which runs on a time and observation basis.

This means riders must be quick over the ground but at the same time steady and composed in the 76 observed sections.

The start field opens its gates at 6:30am, where you can prep yourself with a hearty breakfast and hot coffee, this is where you can get your hands on an official programme along with this year’s collectable Scott Trial merchandise.

Souvenir programmes can also be purchased prior to the event from local outlets in and around Richmond, Reeth and Darlington.

The programme contains a spectator’s planner for the day, so you can organise your day to watch all the action from various locations.

Programmes will be on sale from around Friday 6th October.

After watching and experiencing this high adrenaline event you can find out who wins with a live presentation at Richmond Cricket Club, starting at 7:30pm.

Everyone is welcome to the presentation. For more detailed information and entry forms please visit www.richmondmotorclub.com
