Prospective candidates for the May local elections are being invited to a special briefing session in Richmondshire next week.
The election on May 5 will elect 90 councillors for the final year of North Yorkshire County Council followed by the first four years of the new North Yorkshire Council, which comes into force on April 1, 2023.
The new council replaces the current system of borough, district and county councils.
Richmondshire District Council’s election team is hosting a virtual briefing session on February 28 from 5pm to 6pm for prospective county candidates and agents.
It will cover the election process, timetable, nominations, appointment of agents and local arrangements.
Contact the elections team on er.elections@richmondshire.gov.uk if you wish to attend.
A link to the meeting will then be sent.
