A meeting will take place this week to discuss concerns about pollution in the River Swale.
The meeting is being organised by a new campaign group, Save Our Swale.
A spokesperson for the group said: “We are a group of volunteers, concerned about the ongoing pollution of the River Swale, working together to make it better.
“To find out more about the situation and how you can get involved come along to the public meeting.”
In April, slurry got into the stream which runs through Gilling West and Skeeby and into the Swale.
The spillage is thought to have killed hundreds of fish and other wildlife.
Campaigners have also raised concerns about foam seen recently at the Easby sewage works outfall.

The buck stops with Sunak. What is he doing about this?
Don’t worry, he has plenty of time since there are enough short-sighted folk to vote to keep him as MP for Richmondshire.
The sole responsibility for these Countrywide incidents lies with the Organisations that allow them to happen, that being the Perpetrators and the the Water Authorities lack of Policing not an individual in Downing Street,London!
