Pupils leave kindergarten for new start at school

Emma and Evie graduate from Hipswell Kindergarten.

Childcare provider Hipswell Kindergarten is bidding a fond farewell to their graduating preschool class as they prepare to start at school in September.

This year has been the biggest class to graduate from the nursery and the staff and management say they have worked hard to manage the transition for the children.

Owner of Hipswell Kindergarten Kirsty Walker said: “We have been delighted with the school transition arrangements this summer as we have had lots of visits from school staff who have come to meet the children prior to them going to school for their transition session.

“The children really benefit from having these visits in a familiar environment and as we have children going to 8 different schools in the area they are very keen to introduce their individual teachers to their friends.”

As well as preschool provision, Hipswell Kindergarten care for children from 6 months, with a staff of qualified nursery practitioners who use the curiosity approach to encourage the children to explore their environment and learn holistically.

Hispwell Kindergarten are currently accepting applications for funded and unfunded places.
