A stolen quad bike was recovered within hours thanks to a tracking device fitted to the vehicle, police have said.
The quad bike was stolen from a property near Newton Morrell at around 2.30am on Friday, May 1.
However, the vehicle had been fitted with a tracker and was located later the same day at around 2.30pm by officers from Durham Constabulary.
North Yorkshire Police said the recovery highlights the value of vehicle tracking devices as a crime prevention tool.
Officers are continuing enquiries to identify those responsible for the theft.
