A Leyburn business is running a raffle to win an Easter hamper to raise money for improvements to a park in the town.
Proceeds from the raffle, organised by Inspired Chocolate, will go to work at the Shawl play area.
The town council is proposing to spend £60,000 on the play area, with a public fundraising appeal being launched for ten per cent of the total.
The aim of the project is to make better use of the space by creating a more varied and inclusive play area.
Raffle tickets for the hamper cost £2.
All profits from the raffle will go to the play area.
Candice Ventham, from Inspired Chocolate, which is based on the town’s business park, said: “Your donations go towards helping fund a new play area at the Shawl.
“This will make a huge difference to the local community.
“We want to make sure that children have a fantastic play area that they deserve.”
The winner will be announced on Saturday.
