Richmondshire’s hopes of revenge for the Macmillan Cup defeat were frustrated when both of this week’s fixtures against Barnard Castle fell victim to rain.
With not a ball bowled across the league on Saturday, Richmondshire remain a point ahead of Barnard Castle and two ahead of Marton.
The weather did relent enough to allow them to get back to winning ways on Friday when they defeated Great Ayton in the Collingwood Fifteens Semi-Final.
With some of the regular bowlers rested James Cox (two for 11) and Jack Platt (two for 14) took their opportunity in the first team. Ayton made 102 for six in their 15 overs.
With Gary Pratt 49 not out and Dhanusha Gamage 32 not out, Richmondshire won by nine wickets in 12 overs.
They will now play Saltburn in the final.
The 2nds did manage to get some revenge against Barnard Castle 2nds on Tuesday, winning by eight wickets in the Division 1 Hundred.
James Cox took four for 14 as Barnard Castle made 95 for nine.
46 from Bertie Morris and 40 not out from captain Sam Winter gave Richmondshire victory in just 69 balls.
The 3rds managed to play at Darlington RA on Sunday and were heading for a big win when the weather intervened again
After being put in, they made 184 for seven, with 69 from Isaac Bottomley and 38 from Raam Raj.
They then had RA on the ropes at 15 for seven when rain put an end to their charge to victory. Max Percival took four for four and James Cox three for ten, with five RA batsmen dismissed for a duck.
Richmondshire took 13 points from the game leaving them fifth in the table.
