Red Arrows to fly over Richmondshire

The Red Arrows will fly over Richmondshire this week on their way to an airshow.

The RAF display team will fly in transit formation over parts of the district on Friday afternoon.

With more sunshine forecast, it should be a great chance to watch the aerobatic team pass overhead.

This story continues after the adverts:

The aircraft are scheduled to leave RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire at 4pm.

They will then head north and reach Ripon at around 4.12pm before flying over Leyburn at 4.14pm.

The team will then head up Wensleydale and continue to the Lake District where they will fly north before turning around and heading south down the coast to Blackpool where they will be based for the night for an appearance at Southport Airshow.

If you’re looking for a good place to watch the aircraft pass perhaps the top of Pen Hill would be ideal, which you can get to by turning off the A684 at West Witton!
