Reeth AFC has issued an appeal for a new first-team manager.
The Swaledale club has launched a further recruitment drive after an initial wave of interest failed to lead to an appointment.
In a message posted on social media, club officials said they “can’t stand by and watch this great club disappear” and stressed the urgent need to bring in a new manager to lead the senior team.
The club said there had been some positive interest when the vacancy was first advertised, but enquiries have since slowed.
Officials are now calling on the local community to help spread the word in the hope of finding the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be tasked with leading the senior side while helping to shape the future of the club both on and off the pitch.
Reeth AFC said the role would suit someone with a passion for football who can motivate and develop players, encourage teamwork and respect, and share the club’s values and ambitions.
In its appeal, the club highlighted its strong community spirit, committed squad and supportive committee, describing the position as an opportunity to play a key role in the future of a well-established village club.
The club said: “This club means so much to so many people – players, volunteers, supporters and the local community. We’re looking for someone with passion, commitment and a desire to be part of something special.”
Anyone interested in the role, or who would like more information, is asked to contact the club on 07817 800407.
