Reeth Medical Centre has been named the second best practice in England.
The GP surgery was ranked second out of 6,418 practices in the country in this year’s GP Patient Survey.
Of those patients surveyed who use the medical centre, 98 per cent said their overall experience was good.
98 per cent said the experience of making an appointment was good and 100 per cent said they had been treated with care and concern at their last appointment.
Dr Mike Brookes, who runs the surgery with wife Marie, said he was delighted with the recognition.
“I think it’s a great testament to all the hard work that the team here puts in.
“The guys have been superb throughout the pandemic and have not been fazed at all by the challenges we’ve faced.”
The GP Patient Survey is carried out by Ipsos on behalf of the NHS.
Analysis of the results was carried out by the Reach Data Unit.
The top ranked GP surgery was High Lane Medical Centre in Stockport.

It’s an amazing practice, a well deserved accolade for all the hard work they put in as a team. It’s so efficient, approachable and friendly.
