Reeth Show returns tomorrow with a packed programme of agricultural competitions, displays and entertainment for all the family.
The traditional Dales agricultural show will take place in Swaledale on Monday, August 31, with gates opening at 9.30am.
This year’s main ring attraction will be The BMX Show, featuring three top riders and a commentator performing displays for the crowds.
The cycling attraction will join a programme celebrating farming and rural life, with competitions and displays taking place throughout the day.
Among the traditional highlights will be classes and displays featuring horses and sheep, while vintage tractors, cars, motorbikes and bicycles from different eras will also be on show.
Countryside skills will be showcased with an open dry stone walling competition.
Another highlight will be the Great Fremington Edge Fell Race, an established fixture on the fell-running calendar which sees competitors tackle the challenging countryside above Reeth.
Dogs will also get their chance to take centre stage, with the popular pet dog show starting at 1pm.
This year the show will also welcome the Wharfedale terrier racing team, with visitors being encouraged to get involved in the action between classes.
Away from the competitions and displays, local businesses will be selling fresh Dales produce and other goods, alongside traders from further afield.
There will also be rides and stalls for younger visitors, as well as a variety of refreshments.
Organisers describe Reeth Show as a traditional agricultural event which has “always been a great family day out in the beautiful Dale of Swaledale”.
Admission costs £10 for adults and £2 for children aged under 14, with both cash and card payments accepted.
Parking is free and there will be a designated area for Blue Badge holders.
Dogs are welcome at the show but must be kept on leads.
Gates open at 9.30am.
