Relocations and new starts for Hawes businesses

Two new shops have opened and another has relocated in Hawes as the town bounces back from the impact of the pandemic.

The Alchemist’s Cottage has moved to a new location from the Main Street, where it has operated for two years, to Town Foot.

Owner Cath Eastham said she was very excited for the future of the business, which sells loose leaf teas, hand roasted coffees, environmental friendly products, gifts and more.

Two new businesses have opened just two doors away.

Funky Pheasant Boutique sells a range of clothing, homeware and gifts.

Feather and Fern Florist opens after the success of a pop-up shop which opened over Christmas.

It is run by 20-year-old Shannon Mcintyre, who started the business in August last year.

The shops were opened on Monday by former professional footballer Andy Payton.

There were also blessings from local vicar Dave Clark.

Parish council chair and district council Jill Mcmullon also attended.
