Almost £300 was raised for the Royal British legion at Le Cateau Primary School’s Remembrance service
School staff say they are very proud of their year 4 children who put together a Remembrance service for the whole school community.
A spokesperson said: “Every child paid their respects to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country and our continued freedom.
“Each year group laid a wreath, made by the children, and joined together with parents, special guests and members of our armed forces community to pay respects to our fallen.
“We raised nearly £300 for the Royal British Legion through our cake and refreshment sale.”
