Rescue volunteers called to help walker and mountain biker

Volunteers from Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team were called out to two incidents on Saturday.

In the first they went to the aid of an injured walker with a leg injury in lower Wensleydale.

The casualty was treated on scene by air and land Ambulance crews.

They were then evacuated to the air helicopter by the team.

The second call was to an injured mountain biker in woodland near Catterick Village.

They were treated on scene by the ambulance response vehicle and land crews, before bvacuated to the road by the team.

The rescue volunteers thanks to the rest of the mountain bikers for carrying some of their kit back and showing them the route.
