A review of polling stations used in elections across Richmondshire gets underway this week.
Local people, including electors and political parties, have been asked to comment on the 57 current sites – and suggest alternative venues.
They can have a say on access, location, the current building and whether it is suitable for disabled people. The council uses village halls, sports centres, schools and churches.
The information gathered will help with Richmondshire District Council’s compulsory review of polling districts, places and stations which begins in May – the review is needed every five years.
To take part in the polling station survey – which goes live on February 28 – go to richmondshire.gov.uk/surveys/polling or call into one of the council’s community offices in Richmond, Colburn, Reeth, Leyburn or Hawes.
It closes on May 10.
