Richmond charity Just the Job has thanked supporters who have #handed over more than £10 ,000.

The groups and individuals who have made donations recently include the Norwegian Twinning Association, Richmond Garden Club, NFU Mutual and supporter Sarah Gillespie.

Sarah was the first woman aged over 60 to complete the Swaledale Marathon.

She raised £3,155 through sponsors by completing the challenging race.

This money will go towards the Big Green Build fund, which is raising money for a new headquarters for the charity.

NFU Mutual donated £6,5000 after the charity was voted for by Lucinda Douglas and her colleagues at the company’s Northallerton office.

Lucinda is the sister of one of our team members, Freddie and has firsthand knowledge of how Just the Job supports its members in achieving their full potential.

The donation from NFU is going to be split between the Big Green Build and everyday activities.

Lucinda Douglas from NFU Mutual came to see the team after handing over the donation.

It will enable the gardening, arts, carpentry and horticulture teams to upgrade some items in their working area.

Just the Job started back in 2005 and over the last 19 years, it has grown, not only in premises and activities but the main growth is the number of work team members we support, developing their work and life skills which is why Just the Job is so important.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “Just the Job is so grateful to all the individuals and groups that continue to fundraise for us.

“A big thank you from all the team.”
