Richmond crew called to reported bin fire

Firefighters were called to a reported bin fire in Richmond on Tuesday evening.

A crew from Richmond attended the incident at 7.48pm and discovered that the fire involved a small skip containing sawdust rather than a bin.

The sawdust was found to be smouldering when firefighters arrived at the scene.

Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and damp down the contents of the skip to prevent any further flare-ups.
