A Richmond dad is through to the final 12 of a competition to help him provide financial security for his family.

Gordon Wade is taking part in the The One contest, which is being run by property entrepreneur Steven Green, who runs the Property Investment Academy.

The winner of the competition will become The One and will shadow Steven for a year while he guides them to hopefully becoming a millionaire.

In 2018, Gordon and wife Laura, who run the Rosedale Guest House in Richmond, had triplets. Emilia Lily, Olivia Daisy and Joshua David were born ten weeks premature and weighed less than three-and-a-half pounds each when they were born.

Emilia was born with cerebral palsy which means she cannot walk or talk yet.

Gordon said the reason he decided to enter the competition was to provide a secure financial future for his family.

He added: “I just want to say a huge thank you to all the readers of Richmondshire Today as you helped me generate enough help in the last round of the 100 contestants to get me through to the last 12.

“We have been split into three teams of four and assigned tasks including online voting for our team, finding a celebrities and looking for property investors.

“I’m unbelievably a step closer to winning a huge prize which was all centres on my little girl in the photo with cerebral palsy, who would benefit from an expensive operation in the USA by the world’s leading surgeon in this field.

“I do need a another huge favour from everybody which is quite simply to click on this link and enter your detail which will register a vote for my team which is team B.

“Every single vote counts and the last round went down to single figures to vote so please please help us.”
