A Richmond-based events company has announced an expansion and the launch of a new brand.
Mighty Events has unveiled Up North 54, a new brand that will bring together its portfolio of festivals and campouts.
The move marks a new chapter for the family-run, award-winning business, which has spent the past 15 years delivering independent vanlife festivals across the North of England.
Under the restructure, Mighty Events will focus on its business-to-business operations, including mobile bars, coffee services and event management, while Up North 54 will act as the public-facing hub for its eight festivals.
Events under the new brand will take place at locations including Bedale, Reeth, Alnwick, Budle Bay, Druridge Bay and Hedley on the Hill.
The business began 15 years ago with the launch of Mighty Dub Fest, and has since grown to host eight annual events, driven by strong support from the region’s camping community.
In a statement, the team said: “We’re here because we love what we do: being outdoors, camping under the stars, and live music. That’s the ‘why’ behind every event we run – creating those exact moments for everyone. Up North 54 is our way of celebrating that connection and giving our community a dedicated home.”
The company was founded by Bruce Emmett and has grown into a family-run operation. The core team now includes Helen Emmett, Katy Taylor, Jacob and Rebecca Campbell, supported by around 40 seasonal staff during the summer months.
With its headquarters near Richmond and team members also based in Newcastle, the company says it is keen to continue growing both its workforce and its events.
