Richmond firefighters were called to reports of a kitchen fire yesterday.
The crew attended the incident in the town’s Coronation Place at around 2pm.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze was caused by items left on top of a hob when it was accidentally turned on.
The fire was out on arrival and the crew were only required to carry out an inspection.
