Richmond Golf Club hosted an evening of entertainment to celebrate the completion of the 193-mile coast-to-coast walk by Trish Hanlon.
Trish who struggles physically herself, challenged sister Carol and brother-in-law Brian Launder to walk-the-walk to raise money for NewLife – a charity for disabled and terminally ill children.
As a thank you to their sponsors, the group hosted an evening at Richmond Golf Club with Laney Anderson providing the entertainment for free and local businesses and individuals providing raffle prizes.

It was a great evening but more importantly, the walk and social evening raised £3,528 for the charity.
All the money raised goes to the kids and stays in Yorkshire and some has already been used to buy a wheelchair and advanced equipment for three special youngsters.
Brian is now planning a charity golf event next year, again for NewLife which Richmond Golf Club will be happy to support.
Brian may look familiar – he was a guest on the One Show recently as an ex-White Helmet.
