Richmond Golf Club hosted the championship competition for the Yorkshire Veteran Ladies’ Golf Association (YVLGA) last month.
The three-day event took place from April 26 to 28.
Day one saw 64 ladies participating in the qualifying round, from which 16 went on to play in day two, and then down to four to compete in day three.
The final winner was Emma Brown from Malton & Norton Golf Club, narrowly beating Richmond’s own Karen Jobling.
Penny Holroyd, this year’s captain of the YVLGA and also a director and past lady captain at Richmond, hosted the event.
She said: “We have seen some excellent golf played at Richmond during this annual competition, and congratulations to Emma and Karen, having played five rounds of golf in three days.
“Richmond Golf Course was in splendid condition and thanks go to our greenkeepers for presenting it for the event.”
