Richmond Golf Club’s ladies section headed to the coast for its annual away day.
A total of 46 players made the trip to Saltburn Golf Club on Tuesday, August 25, for a day of competition and socialising both on and off the course.
The main event was a Team Texas Scramble, which was won by Sue Kipling, Jade Chung, Mel Albrighton and Chris Chambers.
Runners-up were Mary Ann Hyde, Jenny Wong, Jane Scott and Fiona Gill.
Several other competitions and challenges took place during the day.
Nic Bailey won nearest the pin on the second hole, while Karen Jobling took the equivalent prize on the ninth.
Mel Dickinson was nearest the pin in two on the 12th hole.
The putting competition was won by Clair Jones, while Eileen Catt and Julie Napier shared the honours in the chipping competition.
Following the golf, the players enjoyed a meal provided by Saltburn Golf Club, with the celebrations given a hen-do theme.
The occasion also provided an opportunity for the group to celebrate the forthcoming weddings of Richmond Golf Club Lady Captain Claire Bateman and Sue Stocks to their respective partners.
