A Richmond GP surgery is having to delay annual flu vaccinations due to national supply issues.
Quaker Lane Surgery has been forced to move the dates of two flu vaccine clinics already booked.
A spokesperson said: “We are sure you have heard in the media of the delay in the delivery of flu vaccines for those patients aged 65 and over.
“Sadly this does affect us and we will therefore need to change the dates of 2 clinics we already have booked.”
The surgery has moved the following clinics:
- Saturday, September 25 to Saturday, October 16
- Wednesday, September 29 to Wednesday, October 20
The surgery is asking patients to attend at the original time they were given when they booked their appointment and only contact the practice if they are unable to attend on the new date.
The spokesperson added: “We are in the process of trying to contact all patients by SMS message or telephone call to advise of these changes, but if you know of any relative, neighbour or friend who may have an appointment booked please share this information.
“Unfortunately, this is out of our control but please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
