A Richmond grammar lover has launched a proofreading service.
Nicola Davies, who runs Written Proof, specialises in proofreading, copy-editing and transcription services.
After graduating with a bachelor of arts degree in English literature and Spanish, Nicola worked in Leicestershire, Spain and London before settling in Richmond five years ago and says she has since fallen in love with the community.
She completed a CMP diploma in proofreading and copy-editing before launching her company Written Proof.
Nicola said she was now keen to partner with other local businesses to enhance their profiles both online and off.
She added that often the importance of grammar was overlooked, particularly in the digital age, but excellent, accurate grammar can transform the reader’s experience and maximise the impact of any piece of text be it web-copy, a press release or even an Instagram post.
This, in turn, meant that you could publish work, both online and off, with confidence.
Nicola said: “I’ve always loved grammar and use this love to make life easier for businesses who choose to work with me.
“They can focus on writing and creating their content, safe in the knowledge that I will iron out any grammatical wrinkles and transform their text into the most enjoyable reading experience possible making sure that the magic of their words shines through.”
James Ritchie-Bland, CEO of Ritchie Bland Energy, said: “For us as an investment fund, delivering the right message is paramount.
“Nicola provides us with a fast, reliable and professional service reviewing a range of technical, legal and commercial copy.”
