Richmond house burgled while occupants away

Police are investigating a burglary in Frenchgate in Richmond.

The crime happened at some point between Tuesday, January 30 and Wednesday, February 7.

The break-in was discovered after the occupant of the property returned from a few days away.

A police spokesperson said: “Upon their return they found a small downstairs window to have been smashed, with entry then gained by offenders.

“An untidy search has been carried out in all rooms.

“At this time the owner is still trying to identify items stolen.

Police are asking for anyone with information to come forward.

The spokesperson added: “Did you or anyone who you live with, hear or see anything around the above time and date?

“Do you have any CCTV coverage capturing the burglary, or anything happening on the street before or after?

“Do you have a vehicle with a dash-cam parked in the area?”
